2011 CSA Member Agreement
When you purchase a garden, chicken flock, or dairy sheep flock share from our farm, you become a CSA member of our farm. Our CSA members are not required to work on our farm as a part of their share.
Before you purchase a share, please read and agree to the following:
Clover Wreath Farm has exclusive rights to share buy-back. Which means, a consumer cannot purchase and then re-sell a share.
I understand that Clover Wreath Farm is making the commitment to feed me the best food they can produce. On a weekly basis, I will be receiving food in exchange for my commitment of support to Clover Wreath Farm.
Respecting Clover Wreath's commitment to me, I agree to:
- educate myself further on Community Supported Agriculture, local food, organics, and the food crisis. (An excellent and entertaining way to do this is by reading Barbara Kingslover's book Animal, Vegetable, Miracle.)
- pick up my week's share of food or at Clover Wreath Farm at the designated day and time. Any food not picked up during the designated times will revert back to Clover Wreath Farm. Reverted food may be donated or sold.
- have a designated person pick up my share if I am unable. I understand that my share is produced at the expense of Clover Wreath Farm whether I am on vacation or other circumstances arise. I understand my share is on a weekly basis and it is not possible to "skip" a week. I may request that my week's share be donated to those in need.
- recognize that my purchase of a CSA share is an investment in that season's produce of Clover Wreath Farm and farming is a faith-based business where the unexpected will happen.
- recognize that my CSA share does not only provide for that particular food item, but for the soil, animal, and farm maintenance so that Clover Wreath Farm can continue to provide me with healthly food in the years to come.
- pay my share in advance of farmer's need, by the requested due date (or work my workshare hours with due diligence.)
- let Butch or Breann know if I am ever dissatisfied with the quality of the food, farm, or service.
- respect Clover Wreath Farm's property as a Certified Wildlife Habitat and as a private home. I understand Clover Wreath is a farm and I am responsible for my own (and my family's) safety while visiting the property. Clover Wreath Farm asks that everyone maintain a slow, safe speed on the drive (10 mph) and to respect the peace and health of all wildlife, farm property, and farmers. Please don't pass on the drive, the ditches are deep.
- educate my friends and relatives on the importance of sustainable, local agriculture.
- spread the good word about Clover Wreath Farm!
Clover Wreath Farm loves their CSA Members!
Additional Information for CSA Members:
Our CSA members are a vital part of our farm. But we support all sustainable agriculture endeavors, especially those of our CSA members. If, at the end of your share, you decide you would rather grow your own food, we are here to help. We will point you in the right direction for books, supplies, and seeds. We will even sell you some of our lovely laying hens and roosters, if any are available for sale. Clover Wreath supports everyone who wants to produce healthy food.
